I am so glad that I decided to join the Overbooked book club, a local book club here in Carson City, Nevada. I joined back in October 2022.
For the month of November 2023, our book to read was The Book Club Hotel by Sarah Morgan.
Here is what the book is all about.
"With its historic charm and picture-perfect library, the Maple Sugar Inn is considered the winter destination. As the holidays approach, the inn is fully booked with guests looking for their dream vacation. But widowed far too young, and exhausted from juggling the hotel with being a dedicated single mom, Hattie Coleman dreams only of making it through the festive season.
But when Erica, Claudia and Anna—lifelong friends who seem to have it all—check in for a girlfriends’ book club holiday, it changes everything. Their close friendship and shared love of books have carried them through life's ups and downs. But Hattie can see they're also packing some major emotional baggage, and nothing prepares her for how deeply her own story is about to become entwined in theirs. In the span of a week over the most enchanting time of the year, can these four women come together to improve each other’s lives and make this the start of a whole new chapter?"

I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars. This is the review I left on Goodreads, Instagram, and Amazon. (To see how I gage my star rating, you can check out my past blog) https://alisonshanereads.wixsite.com/alisonshanereads/post/how-i-rate-review
This book was chosen for a local book club I am a part of. It was cute, very Hallmark vibes. It's more about a group a friends than romance, but there is romance put in there as well, just not overpowering. Makes me want to open a book related business though to hold cozy book clubs at.
Please remember that these reviews are based off of my own opinions and my preferences. I always encourage you to read a book for yourself to make your own review. What I might not like, you might love and vis versa.
In the month of December, we always meet for our monthly chat, but also do a Christmas related craft and a gift exchange. For the year 2024, we decided to read only banned books.

The book we are reading for October is Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.
Thanks for Reading!
