ABOUT ME
Hello and welcome! I'm so glad you are here. My name is Alison Galloway and I am a self proclaimed book lover. Over the past few years, I've really learned to take care of my mental health, and reading has become one of the biggest impacts in my self care.
In July 2022, my family and I packed up a 12 foot trailer, drove across the country from Knoxville, Tennessee to a new home in Carson City, NV. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Addison, since November 5, 2011, and he has been my number one supporter in all of my crazy endeavors I want to do. We have three beautiful children, Andrew, Anakin, and Alizabeth (Yes, we all have "A" names) with one more on the way, due August 2024.
So where did my reading journey begin?
I was in the 4th grade and I won a prize from my elementary school. I went to the principals office and I got to pick one book from a table full of them. I ended up picking Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery because of its cover and it was a thicker book than the others, so in my mind, bigger book, bigger prize. Since then, I have always loved reading.
Once I graduated high school and had to become an adult, I lost my love of reading.
I found it again in the middle of 2019, 10 years after I graduated.
January 4, 2022 I made an instagram account dedicated to my reading. Throughout the year I discovered Goodreads, book reviewing, book selling, ARCs, and book tours. It was a whole new world for me and I found a community I could really connect with.
Everything that I did in 2022, has led up to me creating this site. A place I can write reviews, have discussions with other book readers, discover new authors, and so much more.
